The results of the joint study conducted by Caucasus University and Tbilisi State Medical University, titled “Microplastic Exposure During Pregnancy: A Systematic Review of Risks to Maternal and Fetal Health,” were published in the reputable, peer-reviewed international journal Eurasian Journal of Family Medicine.

On October 25-26th, Professor of the Caucasus School of Governance, Giorgi Tskhadaia, attended a two-day conference hosted by Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan, Italy.

Dr. Nana Sharikad, together with Peter J. Schmelz, and Maia Sigua has been  nominated for a prestigious H. Colin Slim Award by the American Musicological Society (AMS) for their jointly authored article, Throwing Off the Russian Lenses from Soviet Music: The Colonization and Decolonization of Georgian and Ukrainian Music. The article was published in 2024, in Journal of the American Musicological Society 77/2. 

On October 16, Caucasus University hosted a delegation from Bilimkana International School. Prior to the visit, several consultative meetings were held between the University and the School administration, during which a customized educational and cognitive program was developed tailored to the group’s needs and interests.

On October 15, Caucasus University hosted Annabelle Wolff, Director of the Department of International Relations, and representatives of the Faculty of Media and Technology, Tatyana Ivanovska and Michael Wiehl  from of the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden, Germany.

On October 15, the sports field of Caucasus University hosted the final match of the “CU CUP” 2025 Volleyball Championship, bringing together students, faculty, and supporters in a vibrant and competitive atmosphere.

From October 13 to 15, Caucasus University President Dr. Kakha Shengelia and Vice President for Internationalization Ms. Irena Melua participated in the 60th Anniversary and Semi-Annual Meeting of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), held in Seoul, South Korea.

The President of Caucasus University, Mr. Kakha Shengelia, met with students who completed their schooling in Abkhazia and are currently pursuing their studies at Caucasus University on a full scholarship.

The results of a study conducted at Caucasus University have been published in the international peer-reviewed journal Economist.

The Volleyball Championship “CU CUP 2025” has officially commenced on the sports field of Caucasus University. The opening ceremony was led by the President of Caucasus University, Mr. Kakha Shengelia, who inaugurated the tournament.

On October 6–7, Ilia State University hosted a staff training within the framework of the Erasmus + CBHE project RE-DIRECTION - Redefining Higher Education in a Digital Context, while Promoting a Common, Inclusive and Sustainable Framework based on EU Best Practices and Policy Recommendations.

The second intake of students from Caucasus University's double degree 3-year Undergraduate Program of Business Administration with Rennes School of Business are now in Rennes, France, where they will complete their final year of study.

Caucasus University Conference Hall hosted the launch of “Shape Up” (“Chamokalibdi”) - the first Georgian guide to brand strategy. The event marks the beginning of the university tour, starting from Caucasus University - exclusively for CU students and alumni.

During the week of September 29 - October 3, Caucasus University hosted the International Staff Week Program, where academic and administrative staff from various partner universities in Europe participated.

From September 17 to 26, the program titled "Macroeconomics, Trade, and Intercultural Business: Germany and the South Caucasus," funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), was successfully implemented as part of the ongoing collaboration between Caucasus University and HTWK Leipzig (Leipzig University of Applied Sciences).

Caucasus University hosted a student workshop within the framework of the Erasmus+ CBHE project ENRICHER Hubs - “Designing Green Tourism Concept through Learning”. The event aimed to familiarize students with the principles of sustainable tourism and develop practical skills in service design, teamwork and problem-solving.

On September 30, 2025, the Green Tourism Hub was officially inaugurated at Caucasus University within the framework of the Erasmus+ CBHE project ENRICHER Hubs – “Designing Green Tourism Concept through Learning.”

On October 1, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Caucasus University welcomed Mr. Harutyun Khudanyan, a researcher from the Department of Ancient History at the Institute of History, National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.
